A COMMUNITY IN SUPPORT OF ‘JEFF’ ~ And A Special Donation For A Worthy Cause

There is nothing more precious in Nature than that which is vulnerable. We must all take steps to protect the wild species and spaces that surround us. Due diligence. Less destruction. A willingness to share this beautiful place that we call home with the creatures of the wild. It can be as simple as that. We all have it in us. We just need to apply it. And right now, the tiny, endangered Jefferson Salamander and its special wetland habitat in the Mount Nemo and Burlington region of southern Ontario’s Niagara Escarpment, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve – needs our attention, care and protection… And there are some who continue to step up to the plate for the cause!

Artscapes By Sherry Is Pleased To Be Part Of That Cause:

The Niagara Escarpment is as incredible as it is unique. The makeup of this region is both stunning and world-renowned for its sheer beauty and magnificence. And yet, it remains vulnerable. This is something that we must change. For some, it has become a mission to help preserve this special place. And I am proud to be part of the ‘collective’ to make a difference. To ensure the health of this valuable region filled with rich farmlands; forests; wetlands; special flora and fauna; rugged cliff faces; ancient cedars and ‘Jeff’ ~ the elusive, endangered Jefferson Salamander of southern Ontario.

A SPECIAL DONATION FOR OUR SPECIAL ‘JEFF’:
Artscapes By Sherry Signed & Numbered 1 of 1, Artist’s Proof Framed Giclee Print

During a recent fundraising event, I was pleased to have donated a special print from my Endangered Species series – in particular, the ‘Within The Darkened Forest’ line. Created as part of my donation program, ‘Within…’ is in support of both CORE Burlington and PERL for their ongoing efforts in understanding the populations of Jeffersons and their habitat.

I am delighted to announce that this framed print found a very worthy place to call home. The recipients of this special one of one (1/1) artist’s proof giclee print were a truly wonderful couple who are staunch supporters of the Mount Nemo region and its spectacular wild species, spaces and farmlands. It was with utmost pleasure, that I presented this gift to them for their most generous donation to the cause. It was a proud moment for me to be part of such a large group of supporters.

NATURE IS CALLING:

There are over 230 species at risk in Ontario alone. With so many species in peril within our province, the need to take action is NOW! With the issue of habitat loss, the potential for more species extinction is very real. The thought of losing another creature, including the Jefferson Salamander, is a tragedy. However, there are those who care. And with the overwhelming support of a united and generous community, these tragedies may be avoided.

Let’s stay united. For them. For us. And ~ For The Love Of All Things Nature!
Once again ~ A heartfelt thank you and congratulations to Elaine & Bill!

And to All ~ Have an Artful Day!
Warmest to Everyone,
Sherry ~
