An Inspirational Letter From David Suzuki…
by Sherry / January 25, 2022 / WILDLIFE, Bringing Resolve To My Cause
A while back I had the opportunity of Dr. David Suzuki (decades long Host of CBC TV’s The Nature of Things), seeing my Endangered Species art as well as reading about my cause. That is, my overwhelming need to create awareness of our beautiful yet fragile Canadian wild species and spaces. I have begun and will continue to profile a variety of our at risk species through my dedicated art series.
Needless to say, I was delighted to receive a personal letter from Dr. Suzuki in which he thanked me (in part) for being part of a movement to have a different relationship with Nature. He definitely captured the true purpose of my works.
Below is my Endangered Species art collage card that Dr. David Suzuki reviewed
Dr. Suzuki’s encouraging words have certainly inspired me to continue with my endeavour to bring awareness to the plight of our beautiful yet fragile Canadian species at risk, especially those in our own backyard of Ontario.
My ‘Darkness’ series, although perhaps a little haunting in fashion, is nonetheless, designed to bring light and hope to this ever-urgent situation. From the smallest of insects to our largest of mammals, my attention and commitment to this cause is definitely ~ For The Love Of All Things Nature!
I am pleased to be painting for our valued Canadian Wildlife. They need us now more than ever. Be part of the movement. Support Nature through Art.
SPECIAL NOTE: I will soon be working on my ‘Darkness’ series wildlife greeting and note cards which will showcase some of the same subjects as the card above. They will be available to order soon. Stay tuned…
Have an Artful Day!
Warmest to Everyone,
